The Indiana Council for the Social Studies and IU The Center on Representative Government invite you and your coworkers to participate in our next Pub P.D. Thursday, September 21st from 5:00 – 7:00 at The Oaken Barrel, Vista Village, 50 Airport Pkwy l, Greenwood, IN 46143 (not far from the I65/Main Street exit). Our topic of discussion for the evening will be Understanding Islam, and our guest speaker will be Dr. Edward Curtis IV Millennium Chair of the Liberal Arts & Professor of Religious Studies at IUPUI. The format will include introductions, appetizers sponsored by the IU Center on Representative Government, and participants pay for their own beverages. Dr. Curtis will speak for 20 – 30 minutes, and then it will be open discussion. Participants will receive 2 Professional Growth Points for their participation. This is an opportunity for learning and socializing with educators from neighboring districts in a relaxed atmosphere.
