    Are you a Social Studies or English educator? Are you interested in adding primary sources to your toolkit? Join the Center on Congress at Indiana University for a two–day, immersive workshop. Reflect on and develop your own practices and focus on collaboration, adult learning, and PD facilitation skills. Engage in model inquiry activities incorporating primary sources from the Library of Congress.    
     

    Presentations will provide educators will a solid access point to the Library of Congress’ Teaching with Primary Sources materials.

    The IDOE’s Office of eLearning is excited to expand the Digital Content Cohort project by starting a new cohort made up of Science and Social Studies teachers! The goal of this cohort is to pull together expert digital content curators from across the state to support Indiana teachers as they continue down the path of digital learning.

    On 21 November 1918, ten days after the armistice ending World War I, The Imperial Navy surrendered to the Royal Navy.  The High Seas Fleet was taken to the Royal Navy base of Scapa Flow in Scotland for internment.  Read more about the German Imperial Navy's surrender and the fate of the High Seas Fleet. 


    What role does the surrender and fate of the German Imperial navy have on the future of post World War I Germany?  What role would former Imperial Navy sailors play in the Germany of the future in the 1920s and 1930s?

    Mr. Putin's Russia is acting more and more like the old Soviet Union as it seeks to regain the stature and possibly the territory of the Soviet Union.  This posturing and provoking has not gone unnoticed, as Mr. Putin desired.  NATO is putting together the first East European defense policy since the fall of the Soviet Union.  Take a look at the shifting defense policies regarding Russia and East Europe.
